APRIL 10TH 2001 Marilyn responds to protestors
"I am truly amazed that after all this time, religious groups still need to attack entertainment and use these tragedies as a pitiful excuse for their own self-serving publicity. In response to their protests, I will provide a show where I balance my songs with a wholesome Bible reading. This way, fans will not only hear my so-called, 'violent' point of view, but we can also examine the virtues of wonderful 'Christian' stories of disease, murder, adultery, suicide and child sacrifice. Now that seems like 'entertainment' to me."
OZZY OSBOURNE HAS COMMENTED IN THIS MONTHS METAL HAMMER;
"You cannot let them win, that's what I say. If you've got a choice, I'd say fuck it and do the gig. But in (Marilyn's) case, I don't think he's got a choice- not over this one. I don't know whats been said, but it don't matter if (the threats on his life) are true of whether it's been exaggerated, you never know. I've pulled out of gigs cos of death threats the police told me to take seriously. But you can't blame me of Marilyn Manson for killing kids. What about the people who make the guns? When I was in L.A last week, I was reading in the paper that there's been 21 different shootings in California alone in the last month! If they don't have me and Marilyn to blame, they'd have to start looking for the real reasons, and they don't want that. We are a living breathing target for them to point their fingers at and pretend they're doing something about it."

A rally is being organised in Denver in support of Manson. Contact getoffmycross@aol.com for more info.
The rally in Denver supporting Marilyn Manson will be held on the steps of the Capitol building (TBC), with the ambition of getting Manson or a Manson representative to show up. Keep up the support!
