We are citizens for Protection of the Right to Freedom Of Speech .CPR-FS


HATE IS FESTERING IN OUR TOWN... WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

Our organisation (CPR-FS) is a group who believes that CPR (nomanson.org)has the right to their opionions but not the right to take away ours.

WHO IS CPR?

CPR is:
A SELF APPOINTED GROUP OF COMMUNITY PROTECTORS:
"Our mission is to prevent the negative influence of Marilyn Manson... We would like to request that Marilyn Manson's appearance be cancelled."
We did not ask for nor do we welcome censorship as "forced community protection".

A POLITICAL HATE MACHINE WITH AN AGENDA:

"The Fresno City Council unanimously adopted a resolution on May 4, 1999 denouncing the presence of acts such as Manson, which they say negatively affect the community. They said "Now, therefore be it resolved ...that the Council of the City of Fresno condemns Marilyn Manson or any other negative entertainer who encourages anger and hate upon the community as an offensive threat to the children of this community." Manson has never been or promoted himself as a "children's" performer.

A THREAT TO OUR RIGHTS TO FREE SPEECH AND CHOICE:
The musical artist known as Marilyn Manson has the legal and protected right to voice his music and opinions -be they controversial or not, in any type of legally permitted performance. We also believe that we have a legally protected right to attend these said performances, and any form of pressure to harrass, stop, or take legal grievance to the states government of the currently scheduled performances, or future performances, in Colorado or otherwise; is a direct violation of not only the artists right as protected by 1st Amendment; but is also a violation of the peoples rights.

A FEW OF CPR's INFAMOUS QUOTES

CPR SAYS: Marilyn Manson promotes hate.
On AntiChrist Superstar, his song "Irresponsible Hate Anthem" says, "Let's just kill everyone and let your god sort them out."
ACTUALLY: The quote was taken from a Christian during the crusades when asked by one of his Christian soldiers how to tell who the enemy was. Who promotes hate?

CPR SAYS: Marilyn Manson promotes suicide.
In Valentines Day he says, "Slit my wrists and send us to Heaven."
ACTUALLY: CPR has taken the quote out of context to insinuated Manson promotes suicide - the quote is..."THEY slit our wrists and send us to Heaven." Um, That's not suicide.

CPR says in a response to a recent email "We have never said that Manson was responsible for Columbine."
ACTUALLY NO, WHAT THEY SAID WAS: “The fact he would withdraw two weeks after the Columbine incident and have the guts to come back two years later and slip in the back door, it's offensive. He glorifies death and human destruction." AND "He promotes the attitudes and actions of the Columbine High School killers."
It has been confirmed that neither of the youth involved in the Columbine Tragedy listened to Manson- it was infantile rumors to place blame on an innocent but controversial performer- just like what they are attempting to do now.
